My avatar can be traced back as far as 2017. At the time, I was addicted to a handheld game called Warship Girls R, which led me to get into anime world. It was popular in the anime community to create an anime avatar for oneself, and I was influenced by this to think about how I would design my own avatar, and after much thought, I listed a few key elements of my avatar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Yellow Hair<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Red Pupil<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Juvenile<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-German Uniform<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Admiral<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are based on my experiences in Warship Girls R. I barely managed to draw them, although my drawing skills are not prudently ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can see that many of these elements are related to Germany, such as the eagle emblem with an X, and the badge worn. The badge is a First Class Battle Honours Medal in Warship Girls R, commemorating the player's 100th battle in the game. Its real life prototype is the Pour le M\u00e9rite, commonly known as the Blauer Max, one of the highest orders of the Prussian and German Imperial armies, awarded for outstanding military service. As this was the first badge I earned in the game, I have added it to my avatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stopped playing Warship Girls R after that, but the avatar that came out of it have remained. I did try to design a different costume for a while after that, but I still used the basic element of a boy with yellow hair and red pupils. Then I gave up drawing and the avatar was put on hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2021, the Vtuber industry was in full swing and Pixiv developed Vroid Studio, a software for creating 3D avatars, that I started tinkering with the software and then took my personal avatar that I had previously put on hold and created my first 3D avatar.<\/p>\n\n\n

The software was still in beta and had few features, but it was a great convenience for someone like me who could not draw. For the costumes I chose a plain hoodie for the time being as the software gave me few models and I needed to be able to draw, so it was the head and face that were important. This version has been my main image for a long time and I have made a lot of work from it.<\/p>\n\n\n

2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, Pixiv launched the official version of Vroid Studio and my 3D image got a complete makeover.<\/p>\n\n\n

The official version of the software offers a wealth of presets and in many places I no longer need to make separate ones, and because of this my avatar returns to the original naval uniform design, although the version is different from the original, it also contains many designs from the German naval uniform, such as the shoulder patch and sleeve insignia with the rank of German captain at sea. The insignia uses a separate design to avoid ambiguity, with the body of the eagle being replaced with an anchor and the X at the foot of the eagle being replaced with the Earth. The insignia is again the same as in Warship Girls R, except this time it is the 5th Naval Seniority Medal (representing over 600 different ships collected by the player) and the 5th Naval Distinguished Service Medal (representing over 200,000 ships built by the player), which are based on the Soviet Order of the October Revolution and the Order of Lenin respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This version is the best avatar to date and I have produced a number of renderings for it.<\/p>\n\n\n
